CARL BUCH President As President of Buch Construction, Carl leads the company’s strategic growth and guides the overall direction of the firm. Carl graduated from Elon University with a degree in Business Administration and is a Management Trustee with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters, Chairman of the Washington DC Joint School of Carpentry, and an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters Local 132.

MICHAEL BUCH Construction Executive As Construction Executive, Mike oversees all project teams, ensuring that each construction job is adequately staffed, and focuses on building positive client relationships. He is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters Local 132, and he is a Board Trustee member of the Laborers' District Council Health and Welfare Trust Fund No. 2, as well as the Laborers’ District Council Pension and Disability Trust Fund No. 2.

DENISE BUCH Controller As Financial Controller, Denise oversees all aspects of Buch’s financial operations, bonding capabilities, insurance and banking. Denise has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Baltimore.

DENNIS CARLISLE Professional Engineer Dennis is the former President of Buch Construction and has been instrumental in the overall growth and direction of the firm. Dennis brings over 35 years of expertise to the Buch team. He holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Wagner College. Dennis is an accredited Instructor of Construction Safety and Health (OSHA 500 course).

JAMES BUCK Executive Vice President Jim brings over 40 years of experience to the Buch team. Jim oversees all aspects of company operations, preconstruction estimates, contract reviews, project schedules, safety and finance. Jim was the former President of Skinker & Garret, Inc., and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering form Auburn University and a Juris Doctorate form Georgetown University. Jim is an active member of the Virginia Bar Association.

GONZALO MARTINEZ Vice President, Interiors Gonzalo Martinez has been part of the Buch team for 17 years and brings over 24 years of expertise to the firm. He started in the field as a carpenters apprentice, focusing on construction for various retail clients, and quickly moved onto corporate tenant interiors. In 2006 he was promoted to Vice President leading the Tenant Interiors Group at Buch. Gonzalo is an active member of the Associated General Contractors of America and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters Local 132.

TIPHANIE PURKAT Director, DC Office Tiphanie is a licensed interior designer and brings over 14 years of experience in corporate interiors and construction in the Washington metropolitan marketplace to the Buch team. Leading the Washington DC office, Tiphanie’s focus is continuing growth for the firm’s outstanding commercial interiors portfolio. Tiphanie is a graduate of Florida State University and is an active member of Washington DC Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and serves on the annual planning committee for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
